The Sigma Group was an artistic group formed and based in Timișoara. It s members were, in alphabetical order: Ștefan Bertalan, Lucian Codreanu (mathematician), Constantin Flondor, Ioan Gaita, Elisei Rusu (temporary) and Doru Tulcan. Sigma Group evolved from, and took the place of Group 111 with the new members alongside Bertalan and Flondor - former members of the Group 111. Sigma activated between 1969-1978.
