Nicoleta Moise & Olalla Castro are working since 2012 with cross-cultural traditions and rituals, carried out in reverse or in an ironic way. Through their video-performances, the different social stratums and communities are linked by these traditions, rarely practiced nowadays. The rituals selected usually verse about irrational fears, such as good/bad luck and social roles. However, they are working as links with the past as superstitions which are not connected anymore with its origin, but are still remembered, believed or practiced.
