Gusztáv Ütö
(1958, Sfântu Gheorghe, România - lives and works in Sfântu Gheorghe, România)
Gusztáv Ütő is part of teh 1980th generation of Romanian avant-garde, with a very rich and well appreciated artistic, teaching and curatorial activity by international professional environments of contemporary art. He is a member of the Union of Artists in Romania, the group ETNA, the MAMU society etc. In 1990-1999 he was the organiser of AnnART - International Living Art Festival, the only international festival of artistic performances in Romania. Among others, in 2001 he represented Romania at the Venice Biennale. His works combine political and poetic references to local contexts and current issues.
